SACRED VALLEY AND MACHU PICCHU
The Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu tour gives the opportunity to visit the the most popular places in Cusco enjoy the landscape of the scenic sacred valley and the very impresive Machu Picchu.
On the first day at the Sacred Valley tour, you will visit 2 main Inca sites: Pisac and Ollantaytambo. Our first stop is the viewpoint of Taray where you will have a chance to take pictures of the impressive Sacred Valley. Then we will stop at the Pisac handcraft market where you can buy genuine local artisan-crafted souvenirs. Your guide will then take you on a hike to explore the extensive ruins of Pisac. During the hike, you can take pictures of the stunning views of the valley. On the guided tour of the archaeological site of Pisac you can observe temples, residences, altars, channels, carvings, tunnels, caves and the famous Intihuatana or “The Sun dial”
After Pisac, we stop at Urubamba for a delicious lunch at Tunupa Sacred Valley – restaurant, before visiting the impressive Citadel of Ollantaytambo. Here you will discover, once again, the magnificence of the Inca constructions, the amazing temple of the Sun, enormous blocks of rock perfectly carved and polished, stone water fountains, stairs, terraces and the beauty of the local people in their traditional attire, all surrounded by the sacred mountains and valley of Patacancha and Willoq.
After visit Ollantaytambo the bus drop us close to the train station to board the train service to Machu Picchu train station, arriving to Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu town early evening, get our accommodation and meet our tour guide to have a briefing about our next visit to the inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
On the second day we have the guided visit to the inca citadel of Machu Picchu starting early in the morning along 2 hours (aprox) as a part of a group, our tour guide drive us to the most important and popular places of the ancient citadel; once our guided visit finish have lunch at “El Indio Feliz” – restaurant bistró – at Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu town before to come back to Cusco
